Text Box: BIG TYME And I give thanks for our amazing group of 9th graders!  We discussed Catholic Social Teaching in October and the importance of community.  This month we put that all into action as we begin our Service Nights.  Compassion and gentleness really shine in our teens when they do crafts and play games with the residents at the DCHCC, Our House, and several ARC homes.  Some of us will also be retreating at the Chula Vista Resort on the 15/16th.  Please keep us in your prayers as we travel, share our faith, play, and pray! Over TYME/ YAM There was little response to the offering of Theology of the Body, so at this time it is postponed.  I am truly open to suggestions on how to keep our post-confirmed active in faith formation and our Church.  We do have many amazing youth who share their faith as ministers at Mass,  group leaders for TYME, and our service trips, but I would like to offer more.  Please contact Pam with suggestions! Confirmation   Candidates and mentors, join us November 2nd for our 3rd       session. A group of youth from St. Joe’s will be heading to Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells for our first retreat of the year. We’re looking forward to the chance to swim, slide, and pray with youth from around the Diocese of La Crosse.          

Text Box: Here’s What’s Happening!

Text Box: GIFT 1st-6th Grade GIFT students have been busy! The 6th graders raked the yard outside the church in October—they filled A LOT of leaf bags—and still found time to pose for the bulletin! The first graders took a tour of the church to learn more about the     symbols in the sanctuary and in the stained glass windows. They also     visited “behind the scenes” in the   sacristy to see how Fr. Tom and the altar servers prepare for Mass. They asked some excellent questions! TYME I give thanks for all our great and faith– filled youth!  We had a small but rugged group for our Bikin’ adventure. The weather was cold and rainy, but the spirit was warm!  Change of date for the Turkey Bowl: This great event will be November 12th, 7-8:30pm in the church basement.  Our regular TYME session is November 19th 6:30-8:30 pm.  Looking ahead, we are ringing bells for the Salvation Army December 10th.  Please call Pam to set up a time. And our day retreat is December 6th.  Great things are happening!
