Miss Heather Sanderson

                                        3 Year Old Preschool

Hello! I’m Heather Sanderson, the 3 year old Preschool Teacher here at St. Joe’s. I graduated in 2008 from UW-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently in my second year here.

I live in Eau Claire where I grew up with both of my parents and my two older sisters. Both of my sisters are married with families of their own, and I now have 3 beautiful nieces who I love to spend my time with!

Teaching is something that I’ve always wanted to do. I love that the kids have so much energy and can learn so fast! It is such a reward for me to see all that they can accomplish in just a year's time. I choose to teach preschool because it's so much fun, and I love being a part of this crucial time in their lives when they learn the necessary skills to help them become life-long learners.

I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful staff. school and community!

Mrs. Heidi Braatz

4 Year Old Kindergarten

My name is Heidi Braatz.  I am a UW Stout graduate and am certified to teach Pre K-sixth grade. 

I am married.  Mike and I have three daughters.  Grace is 9, Emma is 6, and Marcella is 1.

I taught preschool for five years in a private school in Eagan, MN before staying home to raise my daughters.  After 7 years at home, I returned to work at St. Joseph’s as the 3 yr old preschool teacher.  I am currently in my second year teaching the 4K class.

The children are actively involved in learning through play and interacting with their classmates and teachers.  Sensory, art, science, writing, small manipulative and dramatic play centers are available to explore daily.  Each day begins with large group time.  We participate in singing, sharing and listening activities and games.  Small group time is designed to focus on a particular skill or concept each day.

St. Joseph’s 4K classroom is a fun, friendly, active place for your child to explore, learn and grow.
