- Class will be divided in groups. 
- Emphasis on chapter books and longer stories.

Spelling

-Thirty six lessons based on sounds of the vowels, consonants, and various combinations.

Phonics

-Short and long vowels, digraphs, diphthongs compound words, syllables
-Homonyms, synonyms, and antonyms

English

-Emphasis on parts of speech, sentence construction
-Paragraph work/short stories
