Students at St. Joseph School, pre-school through sixth grade, attend library for 30 minutes once a week. The students hear a story or work on library skills for 15 minutes. Book selection and browsing periodicals help students use the library skills introduced to them. Materials are checked out for one week with the option to renew if there are no holds on the book. I do appreciate parents helping their children develop good library habits and return books after one week. Fines for overdue books are 5¢ per book per day. Replacement of lost or damaged books is required.
Monetary donations, new or used book donations are accepted. Often used books in good condition are given as prizes for a variety of learning opportunities. If you would like to donate to the library please contact myself or Karen Dorow in bookkeeping. A book plate is placed in the front cover of books donated so our faculty and student body know who to thank for the generous gift that keeps on giving.
