Funerals

A Time of Grief and Remembrance

"At the death of a Christian, whose life of faith was begun in the waters of Baptism and strengthened at the Eucharistic table, the Church intercedes on behalf of the deceased because of its confident belief that death is not the end, nor does it break the bonds forged in life. The Church also ministers to the sorrowing and consoles them in the funeral rites with the comforting Word of God and the Sacrament of the Eucharist." – Order of Christian Funerals, no. 4

Experiencing the loss of a loved one is a sorrowful and challenging time. At St. Joseph's, we are committed to offering our prayers and pastoral support to be a comforting presence for you throughout this period of grief.

Scheduling a Funeral

We recommend working with a local funeral home for funeral planning. Our parish will work with the funeral director and your family to plan the funeral liturgy as well as the burial or cemetery arrangements.

If you are not working with a funeral home, please contact the parish to schedule a funeral and reference the Funeral and Memorial Agreement to help with planning.
